Studio21 International, the C21Media-backed fresh talent development producer, has announced the 21 strong shortlist of projects bidding for a £2,000 development prize through its annual Script Competition.
This year’s competition seeks to uncover a hit microdrama that can appeal to a contemporary audience worldwide. The competition invited entries for series made up of 2-5 minute episodes, with a total of 40-60 episodes across the series.

Six finalists will be selected from the longlist to pitch their projects at Content London.
The winning writer will receive £2,000 from Studio21 to option the project. Studio21 will further develop the project in association with the writer to take it out internationally.
Previous winners now have their shows in development with leading coproducers.
The six finalists will be announced on October 31, 2025.
