Script Angel is thrilled to announce its partnership with Kingston International Film Festival on its UK Short Screenplay Award, offering new talent the opportunity to get their short film script produced.

Kingston International Film Festival (KIFF) runs 24-26 June 2022 for three days of screenings, events and workshops.

Supported by BAFTA award-winning film director Mike Newell and Academy Award winning actress Dame Vanessa Redgrave, KIFF is dedicated to championing young independent filmmaking talent to help create opportunities for talent that is too often over-looked.

The deadline for submissions to the UK Short Screenplay Award is 31 May 2022.

Hayley McKenzie, Script Angel Founder, said “In our mission to develop the best new screenwriting talent and help them break into the industry, we are thrilled to partner with KIFF on their UK Short Screenplay Award. With the winner receiving funding from KIFF to produce their short film, this is an exceptional opportunity for new talent to get their work produced and on screen.”

“For more than 10 years Script Angel has been helping screenwriters to develop their skills in order to achieve their full potential and so I am delighted that KIFF is partnering with them. I believe there is a natural synergy between our two enterprises which will enable us to find some of the screenwriters of tomorrow.” –  David Cunningham, Founder & Festival Director.
